Application

Potassium-chlorate is widely used in explosives, fireworks, firecrackers, high-grade safety matches, medicines, photographic agents, analytical reagents, oxidants, rocket and missile propellants, etc. Among the same series of propellants, propellants containing potassium-chlorate burn faster than propellants containing ammonium-chlorate, the lowest pressure at which combustion can proceed is higher, and the burning rate index is very high. It can also be used as an antipyretic, diuretic, etc.
